I am also a follower of "The Way". I also walked the wrong road at one time, until I was shook up by Grace... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!

I saw the clinic that followed the one in Florida. T'was at the Montreal Drum Fest and WOW! Anyone who knew Vinnie from before knows how different he became. The best Clinic performance I've ever witnessed in my life. I mean, the whole "package". The drum performance itself, the way he spoke to the crowd. Just before entering the stage someone told Vinnie that his friend pianist Kenny Kirkland had past away. He took the time to ask the crowd for a moment of silence in memoriam. He then shared his faith in Jesus, I will never forget it.

Isn't it significant that playing with Zappa, Corea and all the best in the business and also having thousands of drummers idolising him did not fill Vinnie's void inside. He is THE exemple of musical success and even that didn't quench his soul... Interesting... That may be one of the reasons why drug use is so spread in the industry. What you thought would fulfill you at last (playing with the greatests for exemple), let's you down at the end, unsatisfied, still thirsty.
